How should I prepare for my tattoo appointment?

Before coming to get a tattoo please make sure you are well rested, hydrated, have eaten and have some sugary snacks/drinks with you. You can also bring your own pillow, blanket, hot water bottle or friend with you, for comfort.

How do I look after my new tattoo?

Aftercare is very important for a tattoo to ensure that it heals well and reduces any risk of infection.

Tattoo aftercare is simple, just follow these steps:

1. Remove the dressing after 6 hours

2. Gently wash your tattoo with warm soapy water.

3. Pat dry with a paper towel.

4. Apply a small amount of a moisturiser, such as A&D ointment or coco butter.

5. Redress the tattoo with cling film for the first night only.

6. Repeat steps 2-4 twice a day until the tattoo is fully healed.

Do not pick, scratch, soak or sun bathe your new tattoo!

Can I pay by card or cash?

We always prefer cash but you can also pay via bank transfer.

Is the studio accessible for wheelchairs users?

Yes, we are accessible for wheelchair users. There is a small 2 inch step at the entrance, but all wheelchair users that have visited have been able to get over it easily. Please contact us at oldvolttattoo@gmail.com if you have any other questions.
